Rétromobile 2018 February 7th to 10th

7 February>11 February

L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS at Rétromobile 2018 from 7 to 11 February at Porte de Versailles, Paris

Celebrating ten anniversaries this year!

L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS, representing the Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles brands, is taking part in the Rétromobile show from 7 to 11 February 2018 at Porte de Versailles in Paris.

On a 1,200 m2 stand, it will bring together 31 clubs and display over 25 vehicles specially prepared for the 43rd edition of what has become a key event for vehicle collectors.

In purest Rétromobile tradition, L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS worked with its partners on the staging of the vehicles with the help of the clubs. These last will take advantage of the five days of the event to present their activities and talk with their members and all the visitors, whose numbers are rising every year.

In 2018, L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS will be inviting enthusiasts to celebrate the anniversary of a number of clubs and models, as well as the 30th anniversary of the L’Aventure Peugeot Museum in Sochaux and the 160th anniversary of the registration of the Peugeot Lion, which remains the brand emblem today.

The L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS teams will welcome the public for daily celebrations of the 80th birthday of the Peugeot 202, the 70th of the Peugeot 203 and Citroën 2CV, the 50th of the Peugeot 504 and Citroën Méhari, and the 40th of the Citroën Visa. Meanwhile, the Traction Universelle and Club Citroën France clubs will be celebrating their 50th anniversaries.

For Peugeot, a few weeks ahead of the launch of the new D-segment saloon, the 5 will be in the spotlight, with the display of an 1897 Peugeot Type 5 conserved at the L’Aventure Peugeot Museum in Sochaux. It will be joined by a Peugeot 504, celebrating its 50th birthday this year and set to participate in the 2018 Tour Auto. The Peugeot 203, which turns 70 this year, will be on show alongside a Peugeot 404 Cabriolet and a Peugeot 205 GTi, together with the famous Exalt concept car, presented in Paris in 2014 and symbolising a sublimated vision of the saloon. The Peugeot platform will be exceptional this year, in honour of Pierre Peugeot, who launched the L’Aventure Peugeot Museum 30 years ago on 4 July 1988.

In addition, the L’Aventure Automobile team at Poissy will be exhibiting a magnificent Talbot Lago America coupé from 1959.

Citroën is celebrating two particularly important anniversaries this year: the 50th of the nonconformist Méhari (1968) and the 70th of the legendary 2CV (1948). For the occasion, one of the four remaining models of the 2CV’s ancestor, the TPV project (TPV being short for “Très Petite Voiture”), will be presented to the public. Alongside these two stars, the Brand will be showing that it has lost none of its creativity and vision of motoring freedom by exhibiting its latest model, the Citroën C3 Aircross compact SUV. And thanks to the contributions of the Citroën collector clubs, a number of iconic models will be on show, including a Traction Cabriolet from the 1930s and a CX from the 1970s. A unique time-travel experience is in store for visitors!

For DS Automobiles, 2018 looks set to be a “presidential” year with the display of the DS 7 Crossback (currently being launched), and more specifically the model in which Emmanuel Macron, the 25th French President, drove down the Champs-Elysées for his inauguration. Because French presidents have always been closely associated with automobiles, DS Automobiles this year has prepared a presidential showcase in the DS Héritage area, featuring the vehicles of Charles de Gaulle (DS), Georges Pompidou (SM) and François Hollande (inaugural DS 5). In a completely different register, actress Line Renaud’s SM will also be exhibited.

With the main purpose of the L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS association being to best serve the enthusiasts of the three brands, its teams will be presenting all its activities, including spare parts (L’Aventure Peugeot Classic, Citroën Heritage Classic and Néo Rétro), vintage car restoration, compliance certificates and an archiving service. And last but not least, a large boutique will be offering a selection of L’Aventure Peugeot, Citroën Origins and DS Héritage merchandising, so visitors will be able to take a pleasant souvenir home with them. More than ever, L’Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS is working to extend the outreach of the heritage and passion of the three brands.
