Who better to restore the cars manufactured by our brands ?
Up to now, with a few rare exceptions, our restoration workshops have been run to service our own needs : the Aventure Peugeot Museum, and the Conservatoire Citroën. Their doors are now open to collectors looking to benefit from advice or a personalised service, as well as those who wish to entrust us with the partial or total restoration of their cars. In our workshops can be found working side by side volunteer retirees from our factories, often collectors themselves, who know the cars intimately from having built them when they were current, salaried employees handpicked for their expertise, and young apprentices being trained by us. This approach extends beyond our walls : we have set up a series of partnerships with a network of professionals who work with us in their training programmes for future restoration specialists. We have also extended this initiative to Grandes Écoles (high-ranking universities) and educational institutions. On the initiative of the association « des Voitures et des Hommes » (« Men and Cars ») and with our support, ENSAM and the Château d’Epluches High School are working together to produce a replica of the famous « Scarabée d’Or » of the Citroën Cruises. It will be unveiled in 2019 during celebrations for the brand’s centenary.
